Acorn Cottage Bed and Breakfast provides self-contained accommodation set within 4 acres of established park like gardens, just 3km from the centre of Helensville (40 mins from central Auckland).

The tastefully furnished queen sized bedroom and separate lounge, complete with kitchenette and warm oak dining suite, are conveniently located on the same ground floor level as your private bathroom for ease of access.

Enjoy a light continental breakfast at your leisure before taking in the local attractions, or just enjoy your coffee at the outside table and listen to the birdsong.

Acorn Cottage is ideally situated for a romantic getaway, sight-seers, or as a base for the sports minded.  We have a 1 acre fully fenced enclosure suitable for horses with ample secure parking for your vehicle and float.  We are also only minutes drive from:

• River cruises

• Kaipara harbour (one of New Zealand’s better fishing spots)

• Arts and crafts

• Clay pigeon shooting

• Riverhead forest for mountain biking

• Muriwai beach & gannet colony

• Paintball

• Woodhill forest

• Woodhill Sands equestrian event centre

• A wide range of wineries and eateries

• Shopping (only 20 mins from the Albany mega centre or Westgate shopping complex).

 We have 2 cats and 2 dogs, all very friendly.

Rates:   $220 for bed and breakfast per night

Also available as a self-catering holiday home rental (maximum 6 people).

• 1 x twin bedroom (upstairs)

• 1 x king-sized sofa bed in 2^nd upstairs lounge.

 Rates:  $300 for holiday home rental per night
